VitaPrime® Pre-Op
 VitaPrime® Pre-Op is a multinutrient supplement formulated to build nutritional reserves and prepare the body for elective surgery while avoiding certain nutrients that may be contraindicated. It is appropriate for both men and women. VitaPrime® Pre-Op contains a comprehensive array of essential vitamins, minerals, and trace elements but excludes vitamins E and K and herbal extracts to avoid interference with anesthesia and blood clotting. Iron is also excluded to allow individualized supplementation, as some patients, especially men, may not require it. Poor preoperative nutritional status is associated with slower postoperative healing and increased complications. Patients anticipating bariatric surgery as well as other people with nutrient-deficient diets who are undergoing surgery are especially at risk for poor surgical outcomes. Higher infection risk, prolonged wound healing, and unstable collagen formation can result when cells are inadequately nourished. By helping to ensure nutritional adequacy of essential vitamins and minerals prior to surgery, VitaPrime® Pre-Op enhances the body's natural healing abilities and immune responsiveness, thus helping to speed recovery and promote proper tissue repair.
Suggested Use: 1 tablet twice daily with food.
