Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA)
Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) represents a group of naturally occurring isomers of the essential fatty acid, linoleic acid. Studies demonstrate CLA can help reduce body fat mass and/or increase lean body mass. CLA may favorably alter body composition by reducing food/energy intake, decreasing adipocyte size, increasing adipocyte apoptosis, decreasing lipogenesis, and/or increasing fatty acid oxidation. Research suggests CLA may also enhance insulin sensitivity. CLA has proven to be very safe with few or no adverse reactions in human clinical trials. ProThera's CLA contains 78% total CLA, with
a minimum concentration of 74% of the biologically active cis-9, trans-11, and trans-10, cis-12 isomers. These active isomers are present in a safe 1:1 ratio to prevent adverse effects associated with use of isolated trans-10, cis-12 CLA. Softgel encapsulation provides protection against atmospheric oxygen and added vitamin E protects against lipid peroxidation. ProThera's CLA, as part of a healthy diet and lifestyle, can be used by men and women as an aid to weight loss.
Suggested Use: 1 to 3 softgels daily with food.
