These convenient chewable wafers provide calcium citrate with natural vitamin D3. Calcium is needed for structural support of bones and teeth as well as for muscle contraction, membrane stabilization, normal blood clot formation, cell signaling, and neurotransmitter release. Vitamin D supports the health and strength of skeletal tissue and is an important immunomodulator. Dietary calcium is frequently lower than recommended, especially for persons on restricted diets. Dietary sources of vitamin D are very limited and exposure to sunlight is usually insufficient to meet daily needs. The ability to ingest and absorb adequate amounts of both calcium and vitamin D are further impaired following bariatric surgery. Chewable Calcium is recommended when calcium and vitamin D are needed and may be of particular benefit for persons with impaired gastrointestinal function due to illness or surgery.

Suggested Use: 1 to 4 tablets daily.
